Craig and family,
I am so sorry for your loss. Crystal was such a  sweet and kind person. She was my first docent friend and a great buddy at the zoo.  We did our mentoring together and would often volunteer together in a region.  Always sitting together at the volunteer dinners. I shall never forget her kindness.

I’m so sorry to hear of Crystal’s passing. I have many fond memories of working with her when I was new at OSU. She was always ready to answer my innumerable questions and she cared deeply for the animals we worked with. You are all in my thoughts and I’ll be donating in her name to the shelter.

Dear Craig and family,
I met Crystal when we were in CSCC to become licensed Vet Techs.  Everyone who met her, loved her.  There was no denying her warm, genuine smile and kindness.  I was so happy when she became a Zoo Docent and I could see her more often, again.  She was one of a kind and the world is a better place for having her here.   She just wasnt here long enough.  I’m so, so sorry.

I met Crystal when she became a docent at the Zoo. I had only seen her once since she left the program but I will cherish the memory of our visit to the circus in Marion about four years ago. She was such an upbeat person, despite her health challenges. Sending my sincere condolences to her husband, her family, and everyone who loved her.

To Crystal's family, I had the pleasure of meeting and getting to know Crystal through our time together at Columbus State Vet Tech Program.  I remember feeling so comfortable around her right away. She was so kind and genuine.  She had a great sense of humor and her smile and laughter lit up the room. She had a passion and talent for helping people and animals alike.  I know she had a strong faith and is very much alive in Heaven. Her beautiful light will continue to shine through those she loved and those who were blessed to know her.

I am so sorry to here of the loss of Crystal.  I met Crystal in 1987 in the Navy, from Florida, to California, to Illinois.  I made my first trip to Chicago with that girl!  We eventually lost touch but were able to reconnect on Facebook many years later.  She was the sweetest person I think I had ever met and feel so fortunate to have known her.  I am so saddened for her friends and family. She was truly special!

Crystal and I go back to her days at the YMCA as instructors. We continued our friendship for years after that but lost touch recently. Never forgot about her kind, gentle nature and her love of animals. Find peace in knowing she touched many lives.

I met Crystal through AALAS.  We shared multiple conversations and ideas on animal welfare and care.  She was such a caring, giving person and so easily a fast friend.  Her devotion and dedication to the animals in her care was remarkable!

To Crystal's Family - it is hard to know what to say when such a shining light leaves this earth. I was lucky enough to be one of Crystal's Docent mentors at the Zoo, and you could tell immediately just how lovely and special she was. I enjoyed all the time I was blessed to spend with her. I am truly sorry for your loss.

Crystal is Love and Light—in the most purest form. I feel that she is now free to be the Angelic being that so many of us new her to be. Only now she can spread her wings and fly, no longer grounded in her human existence. You will be missed in the physical my friend but I know you are going to be doing amazing things on the other side!  Endless love to you and your family!!!

I met Crystal during my veterinary residency where we often spent time caring for animals together. Crystal was always a pleasure to talk to. She was skilled and thoughtful with the animals and you could tell they enjoyed working with her, too. I remember Crystal using treats once to teach an animal to stand still in just the right position for veterinary exams. This kind of thoughtfulness and care for the animals' experience really shows what a kind person Crystal was, but of course she was even kinder to the people she knew. Crystal will be missed by all of us who had the pleasure of knowing her. I send my sincere condolences to all of her family and friends.
