She was born December 9, 1926 in Richwood to Joseph and Fern (Chapman) Wiley.  In 1945 she married Calvin L. She was also preceded in death by her son, Mark Wells, DVM and a brother, John Wiley.

She is survived by daughters Mary (Tom) McVay of Bellaire, Florida, and Barbara (Dave) Kaelber of Richwood; seven grandchildren Amy (Lindsay) Newman, Ann (Russ) McAlister, Travis (Arpita) Wells, Joanna (Gary) Anderson, Jonathan (Kori) Anderson, Kate (Nick) Waddell, and Laura Millisor; ten great-grandchildren, Moira, Evan, Lewis, Stella, Ava, Luke, Holly, Maren, Aiden and Ellis. Her grand and great-grand children were the love of her life.

To Mary and Barbara : Joan was a special lady. We had many visits over the years. She would always call when she needed help with a electrical or heating problem. She always got first stop. Then we would talk about things. She would always tell me not to say anything about what she said. I never did

I did not know her well, but i stopped by one day and we had the best conversation. What a sweet lady!!  We talked about her love of family, history and her nicknacks.  It was truly a great little visit.  I drove by the other day and saw the cars...my heart sank...I knew what had happened, but then I smiled because I remembered our visit ❤❤❤

I remember Joan from Turco Purex, my first real accounting job after graduating from Marion Tech.  She, along with Sharon and Wanda, were the best people I could have asked for to help me get started in my accounting career of over 30 years.  After I gave birth to my daughter, she stopped to see us at home.  That meant a lot to me.  Sorry for your loss.
