Wilda Lee ElliottRed Rose2Wilda Lee Elliott, 93 of Richwood, died peacefully Tuesday morning August 10, 2021 at her home.

She was born September 3, 1927 in Richwood to the late Emmett F. and Clarice (Moffitt) Wurtsbaugh. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Elliott, they were married June 17, 1959 and he died January 17, 2019, she was also predeceased by a son, Larry Slemmons and siblings: Don, Bob and Junior Wurtsbaugh and June Henderson.

Wilda loved to cook for her family. She enjoyed spending time at her summer place at Indian Lake, boating and fishing and cookouts. She was always a very hard worker. Stubborn and strong-willed lady.

She had worked at Abbotts, first in Prospect and then Marion for 25 years.

Surviving are her children: Bill Elliott of Richwood, Tina (Noah) Poe of North Lewisburg and Roy (Tessa) Henderson of New Bloomington.
Three grandchildren: Angela, Dustin and Kaylee.
Four great-grandchildren: Juliana, Chloe, Daniel and Lacie
And her beloved companion, Midget, her Dachshund.

Funeral services will be held Saturday August 14, 2021 at 12 noon at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home in Richwood, Pastor Steve Brown will officiate, burial will follow in the Claibourne Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the service beginning at 11 am at the funeral home in Richwood.

So sorry TIna, Roy and Bill  for the loss of your mother. I worked with her at Abbott’s and got to know her quite well. Always enjoyed talking to her. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Aunt Wilda was a wonderful woman I have the greatest memories of visiting her home with my grandpa Don or at the lake family memories that will last a lifetime my thoughts and prayers are with you I love you all

Wilda's family, I am so sorry to hear the passing of your mother. She was a very nice lady when I used to worked with her in Prospect, Ohio at Abbotts. My thoughts and prayers are with the family. I am thinking of you all at this time of saddness.
