Rose Marie Pfeiffer
Rose Marie PfeifferCrucifixRose Marie Pfeiffer, 81 of West Milton, passed away on Monday, June 28, 2021 surrounded by her loving family.

Rose was born in Kenton on February 10, 1940 to the late Joseph G. and Helen G. (White) Wolf Sr. She grew up on the family farm near LaRue. She graduated from Marion Catholic High School in 1957 and The St. Elizabeth Hospital School of Nursing in Dayton in 1961. Her passions included gardening, sewing, collecting memorabilia, and working on the family genealogy. Her children were her greatest accomplishment. She loved spending time with them and her grandchildren, of whom she was most proud, although she would never brag or boast.

She was humble and resourceful, always able to make something out of nothing. She was feisty, always generous and never asked for anything.

Rose was a longtime member of the Church of the Transfiguration in West Milton, OH. She was guided by her strong faith and the power of prayer.

She is survived by her five children: Jerry (Ashley) Pfeiffer of Miami, FL; Jeff (Jodie) Pfeiffer of Columbus, Don (Melissa) Pfeiffer of Snow Camp, NC; Anne Pfeiffer of Dayton and Marla (Dave) Walczak of Macungie, PA; eight grandchildren: Drew and Jeremy Pfeiffer, Cole and Carson Pfeiffer, Ally (Steven) Finger, Blake (Kendra) Pfeiffer and Audrey and Ryan Walczak; five great grandchildren and three siblings: Francine Craig, Marilyn Wolf, and Joseph (Pat) Wolf Jr.

She was preceded in death by her ex-husband and father of their children, Bernard William Pfeiffer and two sisters: Roberta Villacres and Regina Kelleher.

My heart goes out to my brother in law Jerry, my sister Ashley and his entire family. Ms. Rose was so sweet, I truly enjoyed her company during Ashley and Jerry's wedding celebration and when she visited Jerry. May God comfort and be with you all during this heartbreaking time. Jim, James and I send our deepest sympathies with all our love and big hugs.

I offer my condolences to the Pfeiffer family and to the Wolf family.  I have known Rose since even before she became my sister-in-law when I married her late sister Roberta "Bobbie" Wolf in 1960.  Rose, or "Rosie," as we called her when she was younger, was a sweet and gracious lady.  She will be missed.  May she rest in peace.

Our heart goes our heart goes out to the family of Rose at this difficult time. We have had the privilege of being her neighbors for 30 years and found her to be a wonderful kind and considerate person. Always thinking of others before herself. I remember when we was talking and she lit up about her 80th birthday celebration that the children had had for her she enjoyed so much. As a matter of fact she had stated that was a highlight of her life at that time. She did brag on her children but just the very basics LOL. We would talk about the old times here in the neighborhood and how she raised her children here and all the neighborhood kids would be at her house so often. So she was a great matriarch of the neighborhood here that we are going to miss. We will be praying for you all, May God bless and give you all strength at this time.
