Earl E. Murphy
Earl E. MurphyCockshutt 540Earl E. Murphy, 83 of LaRue, died Saturday June 26, 2021 at the Marion General Hospital.

He was born February 2, 1938 in Mt. Gilead to the late Cletus and Lodena (Brady) Murphy, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Wayne Murphy.

Earl was a 1956 graduate of the LaRue High School. Following high school, he went to work at Fairfield Engineering in Marion, he worked there for almost 40 years, until he retired. Earl was also a dedicated farmer. When his kids were younger, he was involved with 4-H.

On December 29, 1957 at the LaRue United Methodist Church he married Joyce I. (Wygle) and she survives. Also surviving are their sons: Dennis (Pat) Murphy of Byhalia, Mark Murphy of LaRue and Randy (Brenda) Murphy of LaRue.
Grandchildren: Kimberly and Nicholas Anthony, Jessica Murphy, Rebecca Murphy, Brittany (Justin) Hawk, Colton Griffith and Tyler Griffith
9 great grandchildren
Sister: Rose Ann Wilson of Weston

Graveside services will be held Thursday July 1, 2021 at 12 noon at the Price Cemetery, Harry Simmons will officiate. Private calling hours will be held.

The Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Memorial gifts may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.

Sorry to hear about Earl's passing. Spent several
summers as a teenager riding our motor scooters
and bikes. Then graduated to cars.
I remember when Earl and Joyce were married. A marriage that lasted 63 years
