My heart felt sympathy for your family in this time of loss. I grew up across the street from the McMahan’s.  I will always remember my parents, the Ridgways, the Sagers , and the Millers  always having card parties when I was little.  mr. McMahan’s yard was impeccable!   He was always in his yard in his shorts snd black knee socks.  He always had a kind word for me when ever we saw each other on the street., Unless we accidentally rode our bikes around the corner in his yard😳.  He was one of the best !  always in every parade saluting our flag with pride.  He holds a lot of great memories for me and LaRue.  Rest In Peace Mr. McMahan.

Truly the end of an era, in La Rue. Gene, and Skeet, will hold a pleasant place in many of my memories forever  Gene was the best barber I ever had. A true man of commitment and patriotism. And a worthy adversary of any weed, anywhere.

I have good memories of Gene. He was my barber for my entire youth, as he was for just about every young man in LaRue. He was an example for me on how to take care of your property. Gene was always out tinkering or cleaning something up, the work was never done. His home was always just so! LaRue has lost one of its caretakers. Montgomery Township can thank Gene for all his work as clerk.

To Paul & All of Gene's Family,
Very Sorry for your loss. There are a great many of LaRue who share your loss as Gene was such a great neighbor who generously served his family, country & community with great pride and humility.
Since I've lived away from LaRue & across the street, one of the things I miss the most is seeing your dad out caring for his immaculate yard and the chats we would have on the sidewalk or in the barber chair.

Paul & family

It has been so many years ago, but sometimes it seems like yesterday we were all having Christmas together — your mom & dad, my mom & dad and the Sagers. Your dad has always been so kind to me. We have stayed in touch all these years thru
Christmas cards & such.  You have my deepest sympathies for your loss.
