So sorry to hear of Barb's passing. We enjoyed working together when she was an alumni officer. She was so active in every club she belonged to. A sad loss to her family and our community.

A tribute to a strong lady is fitting for Barbara. I remember a young teenage bride in whose home I attended a dance party; a young couple with two small children beset by a disaster from a farming accident, a woman whom after suffering tragedy after tragedy entered the Ohio State University and came out with a Masters Degree in Social Services.
I consider Barbara's life a true success story. Until this COVID year curtailed our meetings, she was part of a small "book club" that met at the library. She always preferred reading fiction but was a good sport with a discerning intellect and would tackle anything.
May she rest in peace now.

I’m so sorry to hear of Barb’s passing. In the almost 10 years that I’ve worked at the library, Barb has always been someone I have greatly admired. You’re not supposed to have favorite patrons, but Barb was definitely one of mine. Her love of books was contagious. She will be so greatly missed by myself and the rest of our staff.

Barb was mom's best friend and a second mom to us Smith kids. I have so many sweet memories of Barb and all the great adventures we had with she and mom. One highlight was watching the moon landing at Barb's house. I'm so grateful for her friendship with mom that spanned a lifetime. My sincere condolences to Tim and all her family. Love you, Barb.

I was devastated to hear the news of Barb’s passing - she was such a light in this world and in this community. I’ll miss chatting with her as she filled her library bag full of books, wondering “how in the world could she fit one more book in there?!” I’ll miss the smile on her face when I delivered new books to her; she was always eager to start a new book even when she hadn’t yet finished the last one. Barb was such a sharp, intelligent woman full of stories and opinions and experiences that could fill a book on their own. And my, what a book that would have been. My heart breaks for Barb’s family and I offer you my sincere condolences. I find a little comfort knowing Barb is where all the best authors are right now, reading all the books they never got to write.

So sorry to hear about Barb. As a youngster growing up "down the road" from Barb, Frank, Judi and Time, I recall many fond memories. Barb always had such a kind heart, never a cross or mean word. My sincere condolences to Tim and family and friends.
