Terri Lynn Lutz
Terri Lynn LutzCrochetHeaven gained Terri Lynn Lutz, 59, of Greenville after a long and courageous battle with cancer on January 10, 2021. The love and support of her family and friends were known and gave her great strength. She never doubted God’s plan for her life, she just made sure to impact people’s lives and make the absolute most of the time she had.

She was born April 16, 1961 in Kenton. For those who knew Terri, they know that she was caring and extremely loving. She loved the color yellow and tulips, which is fitting, given she was so bright and brought happiness to so many. She always put her family first and being with them and sharing experiences was the greatest joy of her life.

She loved to crochet, cross-stitch and she also enjoyed crafting. She was an excellent cook and was awarded many first-place prizes for her baked goods at the Darke County Fair. She was also an integral part in establishing the "Amputees In Motion" support group in Greenville — a cause she was extremely passionate about given her personal experiences. Terri worked in many fields, most recently at Wayne Hospital Outpatient Rehabilitation Center.

She is survived by her husband, Jeff Lutz and Boston Terrier (Jax) of Greenville; her son, Josh Eblin of South Lyon, MI; her daughter Tiffany (Greg) House of Dublin; and her two grandchildren, Xander and Amelia. She will also be deeply missed by her father and mother, Clair and Norma Carlyle of Prospect and her three brothers, David (Jan) Carlyle of Marion; Stan (Laurie) Carlyle of Marion; Tracy (Pam) Carlyle of Marion; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Saturday, January 16, 2021 at 11:00 AM at the Fite Memorial Baptist Church with Pastor David Bateman officiating. Masks will be required by all in attendance. Burial will follow in the Prospect Cemetery with her brother, Pastor David Carlyle officiating. Friends may call on Saturday at the church 1 hour prior to the service.

Memorial gifts may be made to the Darke County Cancer Society, 1111 Sweitzer St. STE C, Greenville, OH 45331.

Condolences and remembrances may be expressed at www.stofcheck-ballinger.com

The family thanks Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home for ministering to their family.

I have always been so grateful and appreciative of Terri for remembering my kids birthdays and sending them cards and gifts.  It was so thoughtful and beyond what most people would do for relatively distant relatives.  It meant a lot to them too.  Jeff and Terri's family--you have our deepest and sincerest sympathies and lots of prayers.

Shirley, Teri and I were teenagers in the era of Charlie’s angels in the 1970s.   We would walk the streets of prospect pretending we were glamorous detectives.   We spent endless hours at the prospect pool playing jumping into the water games and seeing who could hold their breath the longest underwater.   We were lucky indeed to have Terri’s sunny personality, we will miss her bright smile

My heart is with the Carlyle Family tonight as I learn of Terri's passing.  I met Tracy in the 2nd grade and we became fast friends and he is my brother to this day.  I had the honor of growing up with Tracy and Terri and Mom and Dad Carlyle treated me as one of their own.  I spent endless hours with the family, especially during the summer.  I have so many fond memories. I always adored Terri and thought she was one of the prettiest girls in the world.  Clair, Norma, Dave, Stan and Tracy shared an angel with the world.  Now they share one with Heaven.  My heart hurts for the missing that will be present for you and Terri's Family.  She will be watching over each of you.  Thank you for allowing me to be part of your family.  Your warm love and fond memories will carry you through.
My Love to you,
Randy Wilcox

I had the absolute honor of working with Terri at the Rehab Center for 13 years.  She was a joy to be around and to work with. She always had a smile. She rarely complained even when we knew she wasn't feeling that well. We all shared alot of ups and downs together. I truly loved her sense of humor. I know that she has a place waiting for her at God's table.  I won't
forget her. Peace and love to Jeff and her family that she loved so much!
