To the Hicks Family,
Our condolences to you all. We spent many a Saturday with Bill at my fathers auctions. Standley Auction was a family run business. I clerked for my father and Bill was always sharing stories and laughter with my Dad! He especially watched out for my son who ran the sheets for us. Our son has a disability and Bill helped him out when we needed it!!
He shared his struggle with cancer so in later years we would always converse about his cancer journey.

A life remembered is a life well-lived!

Huge memories of this man going back to LaRue-Greencamp days when I could have slept in his shoe. As a wee lad I was awestruck by this giant of a man and have been ever since. I will miss that chin, and the giant smile perched above it.

To all of Bill's family, I will miss Bill a former customer and a friend. Loved seeing Him at auctions and trying to get a hint what He was After. I knew better than to bid against Him when He had that gleam in His Eye's. Bill will be missed.

Bill always greeted me with a smile. My grandmother Idella had a salt dip collection that she left to me and Bill always asked about it . He loved his collectibles

I am so sorry to read of Bill’s passing. I always enjoyed chatting with him about his most recent auction purchases. There was often one or two salt cellars that were just a bit different than he had in his collection. Fly high with the angels, Bill. I am picturing that big smile .

So so sad that our area has lost another good guy. We always saw him with a smile on his face no matter what was going on. He always just made you feel good when you saw him because he was so happy. Bill had been a client of mine for many years. He and my late husband enjoyed many great conversations about collecting, auctions and many things they had in common. Bill was a member of friendliest and happiest families that I’ve ever had the privilege to know. Their smiles and wonderful disposition’s started with Willie and ran all the way through to Pam. Bill was a very good man. He teased me a lot when I was a kid and he always did so with that big smile on his face. I'm so sorry to hear of Bill's passing. He always had time to let a horse crazy little girl pet his giant horses and he would usually tell me a little story about his equine friends. He was such a sweet man.

Like to give my sympathy to the whole Hicks family. I was a neighbor of Bill for years. He was such a wonderful caring man. I dont know how many times he dropped what he was doing to help me. I will never forget him. RIP Bill
