This man was one of my closest mentors. He and his wife Peggy became a second set of parents to me. He and his wife are like grandparents to my children.
I most enjoyed our time during lunches at North Union. I would leave the cafeteria (sneak away!) to sit in Baker's classroom and eat with him. He always had a sandwich, a coke in a bottle, and an apple. I adored that man, his guidance, and his believe in me when I never believed in myself.
It has taken me awhile to write this due to emotions. However, tomorrow is a special day for Roger and Peggy and they are deeply on my mind. I am a better person for knowing Baker.
