Martha Boblenz
Martha BoblenzCross and FlameMartha Boblenz, 91, of the New Bloomington area, died peacefully Wednesday evening December 16, 2020 at the Marion Pointe.

She was born March 1, 1929 in Marion to the late Lester and Annabelle (Dietsch) Moury, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Eugene Boblenz, they were married March 6, 1940 and he died February 3, 1988. She was also predeceased by an infant son David Lynn Boblenz, siblings: Jim Moury, Joyce Garverick and Dorcus Nash and a grandson Kristropher Boblenz

Martha was a hardworking farmwife who enjoyed reading, traveling, sports, music, a clean house and flowers.

She had a deep faith and dedication to her church, the Green Camp United Methodist Church. Martha had been a member of the United Methodist Women since 1950 and had served as its president. She had also served as secretary for the Jurisdiction School of Missions, Bible school teacher, young people’s Sunday School teacher, member of the church choir and member of the Golden Rule Sunday school class.

Surviving are her sons: Craig (P.J.) Boblenz of Marion, Kevin (Jan) Boblenz of New Bloomington and Gary (Becky McKinley) Boblenz of New Bloomington
Grandchildren: Matthew (Megan) Boblenz, Jennifer (Eric) Clark, Kirk (Lisa Stutz) Boblenz, Kyle Boblenz, David (April) Boblenz, Kristi (Dustin) Feliciano, Kelly (Adam) McMahan and Helene Nikki Morgan
12 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren
Siblings: Dale (Dorothy) Moury, Margaret Ann Dutton and Doris Persinger, all of Marion

Graveside services will be held Monday December 21, 2020 at 11:00 am at the Chapel Heights Memory Gardens in Marion, Pastor Josh Freshour will officiate. There will be private family visitation at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home in LaRue.

Memorial gifts may be made to the Green Camp United Methodist Church at PO Box 232 Green Camp, Ohio 43322

Martha was such a special person.  I would see her at church on a regular basis.  She always had a smile and kind words to say.  She would joke around with my dad.  They went to school together.  She was a cheerleader and he played basketball.  Wonderful family!
