I remember Mabel from my 4-H days. I belonged to the Claibourne Calico Cooks led by her mother, Daisy Warner, who I really admired for her friendliness and patience with us.  Sometimes she had Mabel help us or demonstrate her sewing ability.  Mabel was very much like her mom in her friendliness. You have my sympathy.  My oldest sister and family lived in New Carlisle for over 50 years and I remember it fondly.

Mabel was a great lady, a dear friend, one whom I first became acquainted with in high school.
That was when Claibourne was "miles away" from West Jackson. Just recently we talked by phone.  She was proud of her family and she had every reason to be.  I am sure you are all proud of her, as you have every reason to be.

Dear Tim, Konni and Family,
We are so sorry to learn of your loss. I loved your Mom,
we rode to work together to Scotts, went to church together
and were in Gramma Daisy's 4-H club.  We had good times.
Got stuck in snow drifts, camped at Lake Erie for the Church
camping week-end, cooked at the pancake suppers and made
sauerkraut.  She was super friend and mentor.
