Rosalie Mae Monroe
Rosalie Mae MonroeLibrary BooksRosalie Mae Monroe, 82, of Mt. Gilead, finished this life's journey early Wednesday morning December 16, 2020 at the Marion General Hospital.

She was born June 1, 1938 in Radnor to the late Linfred and Helen (Hughes) Bumgarner, she was also preceded in death by her second husband, Jack B. Monroe; her brothers, Gerald and Gale; and sisters Margie and Carolyn..

Rosalie graduated from Richwood High School, she then went to Washington DC to work. During her career she had worked as a bank teller, loan officer and a library aide.

She was a member of the At His Feet Christian Center in Mt. Gilead. Rose enjoyed helping pack Operation Christmas Child Shoe Boxes during collection week.
Rose was an honest, kind & compassion woman who loved her God, country, animals and yellow roses.
She loved to gather with her family, church family and friends.

She liked to crochet and do word searches.  
She was an avid reader; she was able to read a book in one long evening.

Surviving are her daughters, Athena (Tim) Abraham of Cardington; Jill (Kenny) Miller of TN and son John (Audrey) Monroe of GA.  Her grandchildren Kevin (Monica) Abraham, Kyle (Brittany) Abraham, David Monroe, Cindy, Eric, Chris (Jamie), Preston, Jason (Amanda) and Nada (Curtis), Numerous great-grandchildren.
Her first husband: Samuel Pierce of Delaware

Public memorial services will be held Wednesday December 30, 2020 at 10:30 am at the At His Feet Christian Center, 257 Lee St. Mt. Gilead, Ohio 43338, friends may call from 9 am until the time of service at the church. Pastor Arthur Wooddell will officiate. Graveside services will be held that same day at the Claibourne Cemetery in Richwood at 2 pm

So sorry for Rosalie passing. Fond memories going to her house when she lived beside my grandpa and grandmas on Landon Road.

My sympathy to all of Rose’s family . I enjoyed working with her many years at the Mt.Gilead Public Library. Even after her retirement she continued to visit us & of course, check out her beloved Book!       She will be missed.❤️
