Juanita Oberdier
Juanita OberdierCrossJuanita Oberdier, 78 of Richwood, passed away peacefully November 11, 2020 after a battle with Dementia and is now home with the Lord.

She was born March 30, 1942, in Kentucky to the late Hobert and Maggie Ann (Wright) Conley. She was also preceded in death by a great grandson Raylan James Wheeler, four sisters, Jean Reidmiller, Gaynel Sage, Goldie Knox, and Freida McCalf.

The true center of Juanita’s life was her family and telling others about Christ.  “If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.  Romans 10: 9-10

“She was always watching out for the underdog. She was involved with the Pregnancy Care Center. She was a mother of not only her 5 children, but many others that Ross and she brought into their home through fostering.  For many years she helped people through her Christian Counseling Service “Peaceful Valley Christian Counseling”, which suited her servant heart. She also started Neighborhood Bible School in Richwood, and she taught Christian Education at the North Union Schools for many years.

Surviving is her husband: Ross Oberdier who she met when they were cruising Richwood as teenagers and have been married 59 years, their children Deb (Ken) Farrington of West Mansfield, Michael Oberdier of Columbus, Tammy (Jeff) Wheeler of Richwood, Rick (Becky) Oberdier of Radnor, and Tracy (David) Sowards Russell of North Carolina.
Grandchildren: Dustin (Amber) Farrington, Chelse (Shane) Hamilton, Josh Oberdier, Zach Oberdier, Brooke Wheeler, Brandon (Sarah) Wheeler,  Jarrod Oberdier, Isaac Oberdier, Alissa (Logan) Ladd, and Jedidiah Sowards and fourteen great grandchildren.
Siblings: Gloria Conley Cooley, Hobert Conley Jr., and Betty Conley Parker.

Private family graveside services will be held at the Price Cemetery, Harry Simmons will officiate.

Aunt Juanita touched so many lives. I didn’t realize the extent until reading this. As I spent many days as a child playing with my cousins at her home, I always felt joy, peace and love around her. She lived her life well and is a great example for all of us.
