Philip M. Kavanagh
Philip M. KavanaghMoosePhilip M. Kavanagh, 65, of Lakeview, died on June 26, 2020 at Lima Memorial Hospital.

He was born on December 11, 1954, in Kenton to the late George and Lois Lavere (Fogle) Kavanagh. Phil was also preceded in death by 3 brothers: Mike, Ted, and Stan; Maternal grandparents: Melvin and Lula (Lowe) Fogle; Paternal grandparents: Fred and Mabel (Wallace) Kavanagh.

Phil was a 1973 graduate of North Union High School. Over the years, he owned pizza shops in North Carolina, Delaware, Ohio, and Prospect, Ohio. He also spent many years as a painter. Phil was a good friend to many and was an active member of both the Moose and Eagles organizations in Lakeview, Ohio.

Phil is survived by his sister: Georgene (Larry) Lutz of Orient, Ohio; his brothers: R. Duane (Barbara) Kavanagh of Richwood, Dan (Shelley) Kavanagh of Cincinnati, and Don (Kathy) Kavanagh of Spring, Texas; and sisters-in law: Jane Kavanagh of West Mansfield and Susie Kavanagh of Richwood. He was also a beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Following his wishes, private burial in the Byhalia Cemetery will take place at a later date.

I am so sorry for the family's loss of Phil.   While it's been many years since I've seen him, we always got along well and he was so funny.  RIP, Phil.   God love his entire family.

My heart felt condolences to Phil’s family. He was my good friend for along time. He’ll be missed by me and many of his friends around the Indian Lake Moose & Eagles. RIP MY FRIEND!

So sorry to hear of your families loss. I met Phil at the Indian Lake Moose a few years back. Always loved talking to him. He will be missed!
