James D. ‘Jim’ Lindler
James D. ‘Jim’ LindlerFlameJames D. ‘Jim’ Lindler, 70, of Cardington, formerly of Lewis Center died unexpectedly Wednesday February 19, 2020 at the Morrow County Hospital.

He was born May 15, 1949 in Pontiac, Michigan to the late Elmer Joseph and Wava (Bushong) Lindler, he was also predeceased by his mother and father-in-law, Gertrude and Earl Davis.

James partnered in his company Domain Building Concepts of Plain City, as a Construction estimator. He worked in the construction industry for 50 years. He had many friends and never met a stranger, everyone loved “The Flame”. James was a record breaker when it came to cross country. His hobbies included fishing, cooking, and drinking a Budweiser on the Mohican river. He was such an animal lover; you never saw a bird feeder empty at his house. He also enjoyed watching Star Trek, golf, Nascar, Blue Jackets hockey, and Michigan Football. James was always at his granddaughters’ races and games with his hat and button up shirt. But more than anything, he loved spending time with his friends and family.

Surviving is his wife Diane (Davis), and they were married April 27, 1974 in Richwood. Also surviving is their daughter Kara (David II) Peters of Cardington, and granddaughter Alexis Peters.

Funeral Services will be held Monday February 24, 2020 at 2:00 pm at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home in Richwood, Pastor Nicholas Pruitt will officiate, burial will follow at the Claibourne Cemetery.  Friends may call two hours prior to the service beginning at 12 noon at the funeral home in Richwood.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the Delaware County Humane Society at 4920 OH-37, Delaware, OH 43015.

Diane and family,  I just learned of Flamer’s passing.  So So sorry.  He was a light in the lives of people he knew.  You are in my thoughts and prayers.   Be well
