Linda Marie Bell |
Linda Marie Bell, 71 of Richwood died January 15, 2020 at home.
She was born July 5, 1948 in Champaign County to the late Roy W. and Mary Kathryn (Bishop) Carter. She was also preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Bonnie Carter, a brother-in-law, Jack Hole, and a nephew, Ken Plank.
On August 1, 1971 she married John Ed Bell, and he survives. A 1966 graduate of West Liberty-Salem High School, she worked for a time at Grimes Manufacturing in Urbana. She also worked the election polls in Union County for many years. A strong and devoted farm wife, she helped her husband farm for many years, most recently at the Bell family farm where John was raised.
She was a member of Claibourne Grange #2679, American Legion Auxiliary Post 40, Richwood, VFW Auxiliary Post 870, Richwood, American Legion Auxiliary Post 79, Marysville, and had served as the Star Point, Adah in the Order of the Eastern Star. She had served over 5 years as a 4-H advisor to the Up and Coming 4-H Club.
Besides her husband, she is survived by a brother, Herb Carter, West Liberty; a sister, Nancy Hole, Bellefontaine; three sisters-in-law, Bonnie Bell, Richwood; Caroline (Bill) Lucas, Prospect; Mary (Rich Cappell) Snider, Marysville; a brother-in-law, Joe Bell, Marysville; nieces and nephews, Chris Plank, West Liberty; Karen Hager, West Liberty; Stuart Carter, Alabama; John Willis Jr., Millersburg; Miranda (Jason) Swartz, Prospect; Dannette (Glen) Schwaderer, Marion; Andrea Zeno, Akron; Dawn (Coury) Lucas-Carlson, Newport, Kentucky; Jameison (Holly) Snider, Marysville; Katherine (Russell) Weymouth, Pickerington.
At Linda’s request there will be no formal services and private burial will take place at a later date.

In my youth Aunt Linda would make beautiful candles that I just adored. She loved the color purple. We had so much fun playing Uno together. She was very patient and had a great giggle. I will miss her dearly.

We graduated together- had many fun times growing up together in high school. Many fond memories of Linda and her family.

so sorry to hear of Linda's death. was a shock as i was going to call her and set up a date for lunch. I have been sick and didn't want too spread my illness. please let me know when a service will be. it was a pleasure working with her at dollar general. she was a great friend as well as a great person. will miss her ruth and ed cramer
