Fae Evelyn Manville
Fae Evelyn ManvilleCross and FlameFae Evelyn Manville, 82 of Magnetic Springs departed this life on October 26, 2019, to join her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in eternity.

She was born March 13, 1937 in Marysville to the late John F. and Fannabel (Burkepile) Ritchie. She was also preceded in death by a son, Malcolm Lee Manville and brother, Timothy Ritchie.

On November 24, 1954 she married Malcolm “Mac” Manville in Lawrenceburg, Indiana and he survives.

Fae lived a selfless life serving her family, church and community. Her mirthful laugh resounded throughout her home which served as a haven to her children, grand and great-grandchildren as well as numerous young people she and her husband treated as family.

She was a member of the Magnetic Springs United Methodist Church. She formerly worked as a nurse’s aid in labor and delivery at the Grady Memorial Hospital in Delaware and the former Jane Case Hospital. She also worked for the Nippert Company in Delaware and the Leesburg-Magnetic Elementary.

One of the best bakers in Union County, her peanut-butter pie was always in great demand at fish-fries, fairs, and other community events in Leesburg Township. A member of the "Magnetic Modern Mothers", she was a dynamic woman, dedicated election official (Presiding Judge of Election Precinct), an accomplished bridge and card player, an avid sports fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes, and especially her grandchildren's sporting events. A virtuous woman as described in Proverbs 31, she cared for her husband of sixty-five years and family, was active in her church, and remained faithful to the end.

Besides her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Marla (James) Ferguson, Birmingham, Alabama; grandchildren, Andrew (Mingen) Ferguson, Julia and Sophia Ferguson, Derek Lee (Erin) Manville, Kaylee Deanne Manville, Steven Scott (Morgan) Manville; great-grandchildren, Evelyn and Lauren Manville, Kaden and Ethan Sanidad, Madeleine Ferguson; a brother, John Gary (Pam) Ritchie, West Mansfield; a sister, Louann Herd, Marysville; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at 11:00 AM at the Magnetic Springs United Methodist Church with Pastor Judy Cramer officiating. Burial will follow in Hopewell Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4 to 7 PM at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home, Richwood.

Memorial gifts may be made to Capital City Hospice, 2800 Corporate Exchange Dr #170, Columbus, OH 43231 and Magnetic Springs United Methodist Church, 113 Olive Street, Magnetic Springs, OH 43036

Fae  was a part of my childhood growing up and always being around the area.  Trick or Treating in town it was always a must to go see Fae and after I had kids we always had to stop by and get our cowtales. She soon learned my husband liked cowtales and made sure he always left with one also.  She was a sweet sweet lady and will be missed greatly.  Prayers to Malcom and family

Fae was a wonderful person.  When I was a first year teacher at Leesburg-Magnetic with around 40 students, Fae served as the building custodian.  She volunteered to help with the students in my class who were struggling. She would ask if she could try a new idea she'd thought of to help them learn.  Many years later when I was in graduate school, a professor was lecturing on 'new' ideas for teaching special needs students. I laughed when I remembered Fae creating and using those same methods in helping my students, way back in 1970.  She was a hard worker and a wonderful person.  Memories of her make me smile.
