Helen Price
Helen PriceNursing-MDHelen Price, 82, of Richwood died peacefully April 25, 2019, at the Presidential Center in Marion. She was born in LaRue on April 2, 1937 to the late Daymon and Stella (Voss) Dutton. She was also predeceased by a grandson, Adam Smith.

Helen was a dedicated and devoted nurse for the local doctors of Richwood, beginning in 1967 with Dr. C. W. Holcomb, Helen considered Dr. Holcomb her mentor, he taught her all the aspects of being a small-town nurse. She then finished her career in 2003 with Dr. Pamela Kapraly. Helen had found her true calling in life and took immense pride in what she did.

In her leisure time, Helen treasured the many camping trips she would take with her husband Bill, as well as many other friends. Along with this, Helen loved each moment she was able to spend with her grandkids and dogs.

I am truly sorry for your loss.  I have very fond memories of Helen as a little girl and going to see Dr. Holcomb.  I remember when she would come out and call my name seeing her in the nostalgic nurses cap, her red lipstick and big smile on her face. I know she was an inspiration to me going into healthcare as I am sure she was to so many other as well. Cherish your wonderful memories of her.

Marla

We are so sorry for your loss. When this happens in our family we need more than human strength. God and his Son can provide what we need. Please review these scriptures : John 5:28-29 “Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice 29 and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, and those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgment.” Revelation 21:4 “And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”

I can't tell you how many shots this lady gave me over the years and she was always as gentle as she could be! I loved talking to Helen in and out of the office. Always a smile on her face! Will surely miss her.

Dear Friends,
My heart is saddened at the loss of precious Helen.I would say she touched many patients spiritually as well as meeting their physical needs. She was a strong woman of faith which allows me to rejoice because I know she is with Jesus this moment. The lonely places in our hearts will remain. Grief doesn't go away...it changes. I will be praying for each of you that the Lord who carried Helen HOME, is ready to calm the seas around you. May God bless you
