Claude L. Tidd Jr.
Claude L. Tidd Jr.SheriffClaude L. Tidd Jr., 84 of Richwood died unexpectedly Monday, February 11, 2019 at Memorial Hospital of Union County.

He was born May 9, 1934 in Marion to the late Claude L. and Flora Belle (Kutz) Tidd Sr.  He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Susan Tidd and a sister, Pauline Geer.

On March 10, 1967 he married the former Sandra Perry in Michigan and she survives in Richwood.

He loved gardening and his favorite time of year was spring.  Claude was able to fix just about anything and enjoyed tinkering with cars and building computers.  He loved his puppies and enjoyed story-telling, especially law enforcement stories.  The most important thing by far to Claude was his family.

I worked for Claude thru the '80's. He was a great boss and a friend. Originally his 1965 Mustang GT was mine from 1968 to 1973. If I remember correctly my father originally hired Claude at the dealership. A very good man he will be greatly missed. 🙏
