John Glass
John GlassSkiingJohn Glass, 66, a 30-year resident of Glenwood Springs, Colorado, died on Saturday October 24, 2018, after a 12-day battle with pancreatic cancer.  John had struggled with progressive Multiple Sclerosis (MS) for almost 30 years.

Formerly of Marion, John was a 1970 graduate of Elgin High School and a football letterman.  While in Ohio, John sold insurance and autos. After moving to Colorado, he continued in the automobile business in finance and sales. He was a member of the Glenwood Springs Elks Lodge, enjoyed the annual MS Walk, and enjoyed regular trips to the Glenwood Hot Springs. Prior to the progression of MS, John loved skiing in Aspen and Sunlight Mountain, hiking, and boating which are the reasons he loved Colorado and made it home since 1979.

John is survived by his daughter, Heather Diehl, and grandchildren Caitlin and Jaeger, all of Oregon; and sister Peggy (Jerry) Kuntzman of Galena, and 5 nieces, great nieces and great nephews of Ohio and Georgia.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Mary Glass, and brothers, Dan and Frank.

A Celebration of Life visitation will be held on Sunday, November 4, 2018, from 2-4 pm at Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home in LaRue.

Peggy, So sorry to hear of Jack's passing. Many good memories when we shared an apartment behind the Pizza Chef. Wish I could be there tomorrow. Please accept my condolences and John my you rest in peace.

Hey Peggy, & Family of John. Very Sorry for your loss. I hadn't realized John had been a Colorado guy for so many years. It's just the last couple years I'd heard he was in Glenwood and kept thinking,,, when I get up in that area again I would try to look him up. Very sorry I missed that opportunity. Hope you can enjoy all the good times & memories !
