Timothy Brandt Holcomb
Timothy Brandt HolcombTim ScubaTimothy Brandt Holcomb, 61 of Marion, died at his home. He was born June 10, 1957 in Marion, the son of Dr. Charles William Holcomb and Barbara Boggs Holcomb. He graduated from North Union High School in 1975 and received a B.S in Marketing and Sales from Miami University in 1979. He was a member of Sigma Nu Fraternity.

Following graduation Tim was employed by American Hospital as a sales representative in West Virginia. American Hospital was later absorbed by Baxter International and he worked for that company for many years. A wry sense of humor and ease in meeting
people led to several years as the company's top salesman. After leaving Baxter he
worked with the international organization, Sanofi, as a provider of diagnostic medical equipment. His final employment in the medical field was with Home Care Plus, the
largest high-tech infusion provider in Indiana at that time.

Tim had two great joys in his life: his daughters that he loved dearly and a love of flying. He soloed in 1986 and took every opportunity in past years to spread his wings.
He enjoyed all outdoor sports, especially ones that required a little skill and a little
daring, like skydiving and parasailing. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and was
skilled at both.

Tim was preceded in death by his father, Dr. Charles William Holcomb. He is survived by his mother, Barbara Boggs Holcomb, Richwood; his two daughters, Jennifer (Chad) Vilas,
Jacksonville, Florida and Cory Holcomb, Zionsville, Indiana; a brother, Dr. James
(Catalina Bazacliu) Holcomb, Augusta Georgia; three sisters, Ann Holcomb, New York City; Sally (Joseph) Wiley, Richwood; Mary (Michael) Price, Richwood; and several
nieces and nephews.

In deference to Tim's wishes, there will be no visiting hours. A private family service will be held at a later date in 2018. Pastor Joseph Rhea will assist the family. Burial will be in the
Sutton Cemetery, Sutton, West Virginia.

Memorial gifts may be made to North Union Athletic Boosters, 401 N. Franklin Street, Richwood, OH 43344.

The family is being assisted by Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home, Richwood. Condolences and remembrances may be expressed at www.stofcheck-ballinger.com

Dear Jennifer, Cory and family, While looking for Sigma Nu Brothers for our 40th reunion - class of 79, I came across your dear Dad's obituary. While the news makes me sad, I am pleased he had all of you in his life.  I am open to  speak with you if you like.  I will pass word along to the other Brothers.

Dear Matt Beck, it has taken me more time than I care to admit to attempt to contact you but I would love to hear some stories you might have about spending time with my late father as he meant a great deal to me. I'm not sure if you'll ever see this but if you do,(and feel compelled), please contact me at coryannholcomb@gmail.com

I hope to hear from you,
C.A. Holcomb
