Cora Juanita “Skeet” McMahanHairdresserCora Juanita “Skeet” McMahan, 92, of LaRue, peacefully passed away at Kingston Residence of Marion on August 6, 2018 surrounded by her husband and son. Her long battle with dementia is over and she is with our Father in Heaven.

Gene & Paul, so very sorry for your loss of "Skeet". I was in LaRue recently Gene and while walking around the block,,, it was just a 'different LaRue' since you've moved to Marion and are not on the corner that you'd taken such immaculate care of for so many years. Always an impressive gateway into LaRue for those coming from the South and an anchor to the neighborhood. I can speak for my mom & dad and say they were very grateful for your friendship for pretty much a lifetime !!
May God Bless you in this time of loss and I'm certain he has already received Skeet into heaven and she is busy giving Mary & Joe and so many others all the news of LaRue & great friends like you.

Gene and Paul, So sorry to hear about Skeet. I have so many wonderful memories of her while living next door for 10+ years. Skeet patiently tried to teach me to knit. Mom had several hot pads by the time I finally gave up on anything harder. I loved it when Skeet would give me manicures while sitting on the porch. I would sit there with my hands soaking feeling so big. I know that Mom and Dad cherished the friendship they had with both Skeet and Gene. Skeet will forever be in my heart.

My thoughts are with Gene and Paul at this difficult time. I have known Skeet and Gene through the many years that we lived in LaRue, and shared a number of good Masonic times together. Memories are priceless.
