David W. "Fu Man" Heller
David W. BassDavid W. "Fu Man" Heller, 66 of LaRue, died Wednesday, July 4, 2018 at his home.

He was born March 18, 1952 to the late Robert D. and Jo Ann (Hoffman) Heller.

He was a maintenance technician at Eaton, and its various other names for over 30 years. He enjoyed fishing, especially at Indian Lake. He also traveled to Kentucky and Tennessee to fish, stopping at the casinos on the way to and from. David spent a couple years in California after going out to visit a friend.

He is survived by four sisters, Pamela ďP.J.Ē (Kreig) Hitz of Waldo; Nancy (Ronald) Robbins of Maricopa, Arizona; Vicki (Keith Landry) Ford of Sun Lakes, Arizona; Cathi (Chris Guidry) Boles of Denver; Colorado; two brothers, Edgar (Linda) Heller of Fort Wayne, Indiana; Mark (Jean) Heller of LaRue; and many close friends, including the Appelfellers, Ballingers and Bensons.

Friends may call from 3 to 6 PM on Thursday, July 12, 2018 at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home, LaRue. A wake celebrating Davidís life will immediately follow at Coonies.

Memorial gifts may be given to a charity of the donorís choice.

Fu was a generous man who loved life, his family, and many friends. He will be missed by all that met him. All the times he showed up at my door, no matter where I lived, will always be etched in my mind. We will miss you Fu Man. Love you!

Well Crap! This is going to leave a hole in LaRue.
Great family guy, Great friend. Thanks Fu for your surprise visits, wherever I was you found me and it was always a good time.
To his family, I'm so very sorry for your loss, hope you can take heart in the legacy of gentle kindness he lived by.

Our deepest condolences  to the brothers and sisters of Fu, the kindnest most even tempered person we knew. Remembering the countless  Saturday nights filled with cards,snacks and frienship. He will be greatly missed.

I have fond memories of Dave from my childhood visits to the Heller Family farm.  He was always smiling and had a gentle ease that made being with him a joy!  
Definitely gone too soon!!  RIP Dave.
