Gena, Jim and families, your Mom will be greatly missed here on Earth, but Heaven has gained a beautiful soul. And like the Reverend Billy Graham just said she is more alive then she ever was, she has just changed her address.
Take comfort in knowing this is only a temporary separation.
May God bless you all with His peace and comfort in the days ahead.

My most favorite memory of Sue is not that old as memories go.  It was this past Christmas.  I had learned that Sue had fallen when she was delivering her Christmas cards and had managed to break her leg.  Since we don’t live far from Riverside hospital, we decided to visit.  When we arrived she was sitting in bed and as always greeted us with a warm hug.  After inquiring how her leg felt and what they had her doing as physical therapy, I asked her what she had been doing in the area of crafts, crochet, and sewing.  Her face lit up and she told of the many projects she had been working on.  I asked about the little pillowcase dresses she had pictured on Facebook.  I could tell that this was one of her favorite things to make and (remembering how sweet those dresses were)  how pretty they were.   She told me she had made each dress with a little something extra special on it - some extra decoration. When someone asked her why she had gone to all the extra work this is exactly what she said:  I wanted to make each little girl who received  one of the dresses I made feel special.  I wanted to encourage those little girls to know they are very special to not only the lady who made their dresses for them, but God knows they are special too.”  I told her that she was special to a lot of people who she taught how to sew or crochet and to me as well.  Of course I didn’t realize then that that conversation would be one of our last ones and I will miss her.  Love, Lynn
