It was my pleasure to have known Bill through the years that I have worked as an usher at the OSU Woman's Basketball Games. Bill would always go out of his way to shake my hand and have some kind of conversation. Last week before the game Bill shook my hand and gave me a hug. I will always remember that. Bill was a great guy, my brother and I dealt with him on our first used square baler. Still remember how he made us boys feel like our business was important to him. Always respected his honesty. My heart is heavy with the loss of one more cousin. Bill, Margret Ann and I were all born within a month of one another . Most Christmases, Thanksgivings and many Sundays were spent together growing up. Bill Sally and I went to OSU together. Our Dad's were in business together so the ties were close. He will be missed.

I read Bill's obitutitary and was not aware he was so involved, but not suprised. Bill gave me my first real job where I got a pay check from an actual company. I remember being very nervous asking him at the ball diamond in Magnetic Springs, him contemplating a few minutes and telling me to show up on Monday. In hindsight, I am pretty sure the outcome was prearranged, but was always greatful and worked at Parrot Implement for I think 3 summers. r

Just a few months ago, I was out for lunch in New Bremen, Oh ( I work in Minster) and saw a Parrot Implement pickup truck and followed it to the Pizza Hut parking lot, hoping to see a familiar face. Out comes Bill and a co-worker. We had a nice chat and we were both about our business. I thought it was neat that Bill was still plugging along but still had time for member of the Magnetic Springs Club. r

I appreciate Bill and his many acts of kindness. My Dad had aluded to those, but with no details provided. Bill was a good man and has left a lasting legacy and a blueprint for others to follow. r

Bill was a second father to me when I was a growing up in Union Co. The lessons of life, sharing, selflessness, the importance of community and family were examples Bill set for me and many others. One of a kind and will be with me always. A role model for anyone.
