My children, Jeff Nowlin and Nancy Nowlin attended River Valley and we all remember what a
wonderful smile Vonie always had. She was a beautiful person and will always be remembered as a wonderful asset to the school. We are thankful to have known her.

Vonie was my dear friend, and I will always treasure the good times we had. She was a classy lady. I miss her terribly but know she is in Heaven and is now free from that terrible disease. Love to you all and prayers for comfort.

Glen, Dena, Lisa and family:
We are so sorry to hear that Vonnie has gone on to her reward with the Lord. She was a gracious and wonderful person to work with at River Valley. She always had a smile and a cheerful "Hello" for me when I would walk into the office. I am sure you all miss her so much. Though this period of time is stressful and sad, take comfort in knowing that she is with God and He will bring comfort to you if you ask Him for it. May God bless you all.

Vonie was a fine lady in every way: Always quick with a kind word & gentle advice. New to RVHS as a teacher in '78, Vonie helped me in so many ways. Many students, as well, could often be seen at her desk at any given time -- laughing, talking & sharing the everyday experiences of growing-up. I'm sure she made a big difference in so many students' lives.
Above all, Vonie spoke often and proudly about her family with an infectious smile.
Please accept our deepest condolence as each day brings you greater strength and more peace.

I am sorry to see the passing of Vonie. She was a wonderful lady, great secretary, asset to Marion and River valley, and a Good Friend. She had a great sense of humor and a magnificent way with all people.
I was ordinate to know and work with this wonderful woman. She will be missed.
My deepest sympathy to her wonderful family.
