Jeremy Paul BlankenshipJeremys DogsJeremy Paul Blankenship 39 of Richwood, died unexpectedly Saturday morning at his home.

He was born June 23, 1977 in Gallipolis.

Jeremy was an optical tech and licensed Optician with Comprehensive Eye Care in Columbus for the past year, before that he had lived in Orlando for 15 years.

He was a very outgoing person who never knew a stranger, he had a passion for cooking, enjoyed working pottery and was known to be very artistic. He belonged to a Men’s Choir in Columbus and loved spending time with his dogs, Oscar and Nino.

Surviving are his mom and dad: Gerald and Linda Forrider of Richwood, his grandmother: Mary Brady of Zanesville, step brother: Scot Forrider of Marysville, step sister: Crystal (Craig) Forrider-Sims of Columbus, also extended family.

Memorial services will be June 24, 2017 at 2:00 PM in the Prospect United Methodist Church, in Dresden, 3345 Prospect Church Rd, Dresden, OH 43821.

The Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home in Richwood is assisting the family

Memorial gifts may be made to the R.E.A.P. (the food pantry in Richwood) at 235 Grove St. Richwood, Ohio 43344

Linda, I am truly sorry for your loss. I have often thought about Jeremy. I remember him as such a curious and intelligent young man. I'm certain God has big plans for him.

Wow, I am bowled over in sadness. I loved Jeremy deeply, and though we lost touch over the years he was never far from mind. Finding this obituary has literally beside myself with sadness. What a wonderful light snuffed out too soon. 😭

I was a friend of his in Florida … he was a very kind young man and had a heart of gold . My thoughts and prayers go out to all of his family.
