May God lift you and comfort you now and the days to come. Donnie was one of my favorite people on this earth..to say he will be missed is an understatement! Always looked forward to his goofy grin and his bear hug followed by "hey good lookin'" and a peck on the cheek. I hope the memories that he left each and every one of you help give you peace, he loved his family dearly!
Our thoughts, prayers and deepest sympathy,

To the Parrott family! Growing up with Donnie was such a great honor to have such a great friend. We did a lot together through the years from basketball, baseball, football and just hanging out baling hay and all the crazy things young boys would do. I remember being in the car ordering Wendy's to go and as we pulled away the girl he just met. He said I'm going to marry her some day!! Lo and behold he did! He was a man of faith and of integrity who showed me a lot. There's no doubt I'll see him again love and prayers sincerely Jim Bayes

To the Parrot family, my heartfelt condolences. Donnie, was a wonderful man, who I will remember with great respect.
Not only was he hugely involved with so many wonderful community projects, he purposely went out of his way, to comfort me with kind and sincere words, when my son passed away a year ago. He had coached him in baseball and junior league football. Even though it had been years ago, he did not forget. He always reminded me of what a truly great man, should be like.
I pray for the entire Parrot family during this horrific time. May God watch over you all.

I first meet Donnie in 1979 as a young man trying to decide weather to play football or not. After conversing with Donnie for awhile he made his decision that he could help his teammates and have lots of fun too. Donnie performed his duties admirably. As a teacher/ coach of 30years I have never met such a young man that had it all... love for family, friends, and fellow mankind. I shall miss him so much . Condolences to his entire family. Words can not express the heartbreak I feel at the loss of one of my best friends in my life. My sincere cndolences to Connie, the love of Don's life, and to his children.
Bill and Sally were like my second set of Parents, and Grandpa and Grandma Parrott were my grandparents.
I love this family, and had more fun with Don than most people have in a lifetime. I am blessed to have these memories, and thank GOD for the love and encouragement I received from Bill, Sally, Jean, Rita and Anne growing up as a part of their family.
GOD Bless you all, and thank you from the bottom of my heart for including me in your family, and allowing me to be part of such a wonderful journey. I love you all.

On behalf of the United Way of Union County I want to share our condolences with the entire Parrott Family for your loss. Donnie served for a number of years on the Board of Trustees and was a member of the Youth Arts and Recreation Committee. He was a positive force on the Board and Committee. When he said he was going to do something, we could count on him to do it. Donnie was the picture of a dedicated volunteer. Along with you the entire county will miss him, his smile, his sayings, his kindness, his wit, his presence… May God grant you His Peace during this difficult time.

To me Donnie was like the older brother I never had. He taught me how to ride mini bikes on the farm, drifting snowmobiles down the fence lines, working hard bailing hay, playing basketball and fishing on the farm pond. An early memory was a sleepover at his house when Aunt Sally made us a whole batch of Buckeyes that we quickly polished off, way too much for me and the reason I haven't eaten them since! I always looked up to Donnie; he was a senior when I was a freshman at North Union High School where he led the school on and off the field.
To all of us Donnie was a great leader and friend. He took on the hard challenge of living up to his namesake, our grandfather Donald Parrott, by successfully leading the family business as the third generation after his father, my uncle Bill. He carried on the legacy of community involvement around Richwood that our grandfather instilled in us early on. Donnie was a great family man who together with Connie raised their three children on the same farm we grew up on. I am so proud of my cousin for advancing our family legacy although his untimely departure leaves a huge void in our generation that only Donnie could fill. I miss you.

Prayers and heartfelt sorrow from us to the Parrott family... we have lost a great friend, true Gentleman, genuine person and mentor. I met Don in kindergarten, played baseball, basketball and football throughout our school years together, we hunted , rode snowmobiles, baled hay, shared other farm chores together, but always had fun, I only got to see Don once a year or so, we didn't talk every day, I would text him happy Birthday, or when in Ohio stop by to see him, Don was a great friend, true Gentleman, funny story teller... and relevant in his application... he will be missed by many... I am privileged to have know him and shared so much of his life.... God bless, love you Brother... thank you for your time ... Amen

I can't find the words to express our sympathy to Connie and family, Bill and Sally and families, Lou and Pat Colvin and family... Our hearts are aching as well as those in this wonderful supportive community we live in.
The "Mrs. Wiley" -Junior Class advisor- remembers first dealing with Donnie. The ornery teen that would skip class to decorate for Prom and then not show up. Prom night he showed up with a rose as a peace offering. He made me cry!
He made me cry again this past week-- tears of sadness-- tears of joy-- tears of laughter-- tears of sorrow. Psalms 56:8 says that God collects our tears and feels our pain.
We have great memories of this wonderful, caring, compassionate young man -- his smile, his humor, his hugs, his caring for family, friends, & community. He touched so many lives and will never be forgotten. RIP Donnie --you're one special person. God gained another angel.

Our entire family, Mark,Geff,Matt, Jennifer and Aron is deeply saddened by the loss of Don. He was always a true friend of the family. In the early years we share a lot of good times together from highly competitive basketball at Magnetic Springs to parties at our house. Mark and Don had a special a special bond . Eternal rest grant unto him.

When God calls us to Heaven while we are still young, He is selfish to have us closer to Him. Selfishness is completely understandable, because we all want to keep our loved ones as near and as long as possible. It is so hard to let them go. Our selfishness allows us to keep alive all the great memories, accomplishments, and stories through the generations to come. How can anyone forget Donnie?

Rest in Peace my friend and one of my Delta Theta Sigma big brothers' (Wilmington College) ... God must have needed only the best to drive a big green "up there"... I can still hear you yelling at me across the room in your implement dealership, talking about my cattle, all of my mower mishaps your guys were always fixing and life in general.
"I believe that dreams are more powerful than facts, that hope always triumphs over experience, that laughter is the only cure for grief. And I believe that love is stronger than death..." Unknown

"What moves through us is a silence, a quiet sadness, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch. We may not understand why you left this earth so soon, or why you left before we were ready to say good-bye, but little by little, we begin to remember not just that you died, but that you lived. And that your life gave us memories too beautiful to forget"

My thoughts and prayers are with The Parrott Family as you move through the grieving process. Donnie was such a good guy in so many ways. He was filled with love for his family and friends. He was always very respectful and friendly. He had a "glow" about him which came from his beautiful, loving soul. Rest in peace, Donnie. You will never be forgotten. God bless The Parrott Family - you did a fine job of raising a beautiful human being. <3

Our deepest sympathy. Donnie could light up a room with just a smile. He was truly a remarkable man. He was a mentor, a friend, and a counselor by just listening. His life was truly lived to the fullest. There are very few people we meet in our lives, that have the positive impact that Donnie made on so many. He truly had Christlike qualities. Our prayers are with his friends, family and work family.

I was there and I saw what the Richwood community did when Donnie Parrott died. It was the largest outpouring of LOVE and RESPECT that I had ever seen. We little knew that day,
God was going to call your name.
In life we loved you dearly,
In death, we do the same.
It broke our hearts to lose you.
You did not go alone.
For part of us went with you,
The day God called you home.
You left us beautiful memories,
Your love is still our guide.
And although we cannot see you,
You are always at our side.
Our family chain is broken,
And nothing seems the same,
But as God calls us one by one,
The chain will link again.
