  Marline M. Straw 76 of New Bloomington, died Monday evening May 9, 2016 at the Kindred Nursing and Rehab in Marion.
She was born September 18, 1939 in Lawrence County to the late Roy and Mable (Hutchinson) Jones, she was also predeceased by one brother: Bill Jones and one sister: Hilda Jones Marline was a 1957 graduate of the New Bloomington High School. A homemaker, she made her family the priority of her life. When she lived in Lawrence County she had worked at Kroger’s. Marline enjoyed reading romance novels and fishing, one of her favorite spots was Indian Lake. On January 10, 1958 in Marion she married Harold Straw and he survives, also surviving are their children: Michael (Edith) Straw of Marion, Deanna (Larry) Rayburn, Lora (Steve) Jeffers and Amy Straw all of New Bloomington seven grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter one sister: Judy Jones of New Bloomington Graveside services will be held Friday May 13, 2016 at 11:00 am in the Agosta Cemetery, Chaplain Terry McLaughlin will officiate, friends may call Thursday from 4-6 pm at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home in LaRue. Memorial gifts may be made to the American Cancer Society at 5555 Frantz Rd.
