Al was always my go-to guy whenever I needed help with a truck. Always there to lend a hand. He would go out of his way to strike up a conversation whenever I seen him. Truly one of the last old school mechanics that could fix anything he had in front of him and a genuinely good person. From all of us at Kirby's were thinking of your family. Rest in peace Al.

I can't say enough about what a good man AL was. He always had a smile for you and a goodwilled  nature about himself.  Always willing to help out (as he did my family many times) and was just such a selfless human being. His loving and giving personality and demenor comes through in those he loved. That's the legacy of a truly great man.
"God saw him getting tired, a cure not meant to be, so he put his arms around him and whispered come with me" I pray God's comfort and healing for Al's family. Love you all.

AL was a friend of mine through Don Lauer. I knew AL since about 2002, when I moved to Ohio. He was one of my first friends out here, and he was one of the nicest people I ever met. Even though we only visited rarely, I always felt like he was a very good friend, and always greatly enjoyed visiting with him.  He was a wonderful and kind man, and he will be greatly missed by so many.  He probably didn't know it, but he was a blessing in my life, at a time when I had very few friends. My prayers go out to you, his family, during this very difficult time. God bless you all. Sincerely, Jess Hilliard
