James Forbis, Sr.
James Forbis, Sr.NavyJames J. Forbis Sr. 76 of LaRue, died peacefully Thursday morning January 14, 2016 at the Marion General Hospital, he had been in failing health for the last couple yrs.

He was born May 25, 1939 in Oneida, Tn.

James was a veteran of the Navy, he was retired after 45 yrs. from P.P.&G in Delaware working in the SOD Dept.

James loved to fish, having participated in many catfish tournaments at the Delaware Reservoir, he also enjoyed playing golf, Windy Acres was a favorite place, listening to his son play country music and attending his shows. James was a Tennessee Vols Fan. He lived an enjoyable life.

Surviving are his children: Jimmy (Kim) Forbis of LaRue, Tony Forbis of Marion, Janeth Watkins of Marion and Jacqueline Forbis of Columbus
Nine grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren

A Celebration of Life service will be held Sunday January 24, 2016 at 1:00 pm at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home in LaRue, where friends may call one hour prior to the service beginning at noon, there will be veteran services conducted by the Richwood Area Veterans at the conclusion of the service.

Memorial gifts may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project (www.woundedwarriorproject.org)

Jimmy, your dad will be greatly missed. There is no doubt he enjoyed the time you guys shared. I will miss our golf outings. Was hoping to get him on the boat again. My family will have your family in our thoughts and prayers.

Jimmy,so sorry to hear this. Our sympathies are out there for you as well as prayers. It's hard to let go of such special people. I know he will be missed. I also thank him for serving our country as I know he loved it. Wish I could do something that would help with the heavy heart.
