Ernest B. Jamison
Ernest B. JamisonCrossErnest B. Jamison 80 of Richwood, died peacefully Tuesday evening June 30, 2015 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born August 15, 1934 in Nebo, North Carolina to the late Gaston B. and Dorothy Todd (Adkins) Jamison; he was also predeceased by one brother: Richard Jamison and one grandson J.J. Musgrave

Ernie was a veteran of the Marine Corps, a retired self-employed truck driver, he drove for over 42 yrs., most of that time for his company Jamison Trucking.  He was a dedicated member of the Richwood Community United Calvary Church. He enjoyed fishing, running his beagles and drag racing, but one of his greatest joys was watching his grandkids doing their activities and sporting events.

Ernie was known for being a friend, mentor and role model for many young people in the community, he did not do this in a loud manner, he did it in his gentle, humble and sincere way.

Surviving is his wife Peggy F. (Bevis), whom he married October 1, 1982 at the Richwood First United Methodist Church, their children: Rose Mary (Tim Greenleaf) Price, Marysville, William (Lauri) Wilson, Richwood, Holly Beth (Ted) Ebelberger, Prospect, Wendelyn N. (Christy) Wilson, Raymond, Ernie B. (Cindi) Jamison Jr., Richwood, Jennifer J. (Eric) Ballenger, Sunbury and Angela F. Spain, Richwood  , 17 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews that was very special to him.

Two brothers: James M. (Nancy) Jamison of Sebring, Fl. and Kenneth E. Jamison of Richwood, one sister: Linda Lockwood

Funeral Services will be held Monday July 6, 2015 at 11:00 am at the Community United Calvary Church in Richwood, where following the service, there will be veteran services conducted by the Richwood Area Veterans. Friends may call Sunday at the church from 3-6 pm, officiating will be Pastor Fred Cheney, burial in the Price Cemetery will be held at a later date.

Memorial gifts may be made to the Community United Calvary Church at 273 Race St Richwood, OH 43344 and the Wounded Warrior Project at P.O. Box 758517 Topeka, Kansas 66675

The Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home in Richwood is assisting the family

PEGGY /AND CHILDEN I FIRST MEET ERNIE IN 1958 WHEN I STATER DATING HIS BROTHER MELVIN.I HAD THE PLESURE OF GROWING UP WITH ALL THE JAMISON KIDS . I ALSO GOT TO SEE ERNIE AS A SHIPYARD WORKER,POLICEMAN .WE DID BOATING ,BOWLING,RACING.
WHEN ERNIE MOVE TO OHIO I ALSO HAD THE PLESURE OF HELPING ERNIE RAISE HIS CHILDEN WHILE ON OVER THE ROAD TRUCKING ON WEEK ENDS WE TALK HIS CHILDEN AND OUR CHILDEN GO TO THE BALL FIELD I WATCH THE MEN PLAY BALL WITH THE CHILDEN .ON WEEK ENDS MELVIN GO FOR COFFEE COME HOME WILL BEHIND HIM WOULD COME ERNIE AND CARL BECUSE THEY KNEW HIS BROTHER WOULD BE HAVING GRAVY . I am sorry for your loss. He was a very kind man.  I can remember when my dad was sick and battling with his cancer Ernie was right there by his side holding my dads hand and reassuring him that everything would be okay. He will be deeply missed. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.
