Philip L. Fields
Philip L. FieldsFlagPhilip Lee Fields, 72 of Upper Sandusky died Sunday, May 24, 2015 at St. Ann’s Hospital in Westerville.  He was born January 23, 1943 in Marion to the late Lawrence Glenn and Ruth Eleanor (Cleveland) Fields.

He was a 1961 graduate of LaRue High School.  A veteran of the U. S. Air Force, he enjoyed spending time with his fellow veterans during his later years.  Philip was a fan of the Cleveland Browns.  He enjoyed doing word search puzzles and playing ‘Skip-Bo’ with his family at Heartland.  He also loved to fish when he was able.

He was married to Kathy (Barth) Fields and she survives in Upper Sandusky.  He is also survived by his children, Cristi (Jeff) Parthemore, Mt. Victory; Woodrow (Kristie) Fields, Marion; Michelle Yager, Mt. Victory; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two brothers, Larry (Judy) Fields, LaRue; Scott (Debra) Fields, Mansfield; and special friends, Jerry and Pam Lawrence, Upper Sandusky.

Funeral services will be Thursday, May 28, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home, LaRue with Pastor Mike Raypholtz officiating.  Burial will follow in LaRue Cemetery, where there will veteran graveside services conducted by the Marion County United Veterans Council.  Friends may call one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 AM.

Memorial gifts may be made to the Heartland of Centerburg Resident Trust Fund, 212 Fairview Ave., Centerburg, OH  43011 for resident activities.

Neighbor and classmate Phil family.  I am so sorry to hear of his passing.  I was just remembering when we would play hide and seek in front of your LaRue house.  Enjoy your angel wings as you have earned them.
