Margaret Suzanne “Sue” Knickel
Margaret Suzanne “Sue” KnickelCatsMargaret Suzanne “Sue” Knickel, 63 of Prospect, died unexpectedly early Sunday, March 8, 2015 at her home.

She was born May 25, 1951 in Marion to the late Richard W. and Ruby E. (Banks) Knickel.  She was also predeceased by a sister, Denise Knickel.

Sue loved her family and enjoyed the many family get-togethers that she arranged. She was the family glue that kept the family so close. All of her nieces and nephews had a special place in her heart as did their children. She worked at Kable Fulfillment in Marion for over 30 years and her last position was Print Operations Manager. She enjoyed crocheting and keeping up with family and friends on Facebook. Sue had many friends and enjoyed making them smile or laugh.

Surviving is Hugh Pfarr, her life-long partner, at home in Prospect; siblings, Sharon (Bryan) Garverick, Mt Gilead;  DeAnn (John) Ballentine, Gahanna; Linda (James) Laufer, Marion; Daniel (Amy) Knickel, Bellefontaine; Dale (Tammy) Knickel, Bucyrus; Timothy (Alicia) Knickel, Marion; Chad (Angie) Knickel, Prospect; two nieces, four nephews, two great nieces and eight great nephews; special aunt, Karen Knickel of Calabash, NC and special cousin, Eloise (Sam) Bryan of Boone, NC.

Although Sue had no children of her own, she and Dutch had cats that they considered their children, referring to them as their "fur babies."

Memorial services will be Saturday, March 21, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the Community Christian Fellowship Church with Pastor Steve Whitaker officiating.  Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.

Memorial gifts may be made to the Humane Society of the donor’s choice, or the Community Christian Fellowship Church, 209 E Water Street, Prospect, OH 43342.

I think of Sue fondly of the past good times we use to share 40 years ago.  Sue was a great cook and we loved to eat her food.   We spent countless hours playing cards on Sundays while enjoying the food.  I will remember the  good times we had with her.

Thank you DeAnn for calling me about "Susie" - that's what our part of the family called her. I remember all the good times we had at the reunions and visiting each other. It was always great to get together. My heart goes out to each one of you because I know how much you loved her and how much she loved all of you.

Dutch and family,

Dan and I are saddened to hear of Sue's passing. Though it has been years since we have seen her, we will always remember the good times we had with Sue and the gang back at Fulfillment. Sue was a bright, beautiful and fun person...a true one-of-a-kind.

God bless you all.

I met Sue through Gerald Bingley in 1974.   She and I were messaging just a week before her passing. We told each other we missed one another and reminisced about our 1978 trip to Europe with Bing and our "out West" tour in 1980, again with Bing and my sister, Ellen.
Rest easy my friend. I will always remember your beautiful smile and your infectious laugh!
May her family be comforted by their many cherished memories of Sue.  She will always be in our hearts.
