Craig L. Skinner
Craig L. SkinnerCrossCraig L. Skinner, age 66 of Marysville, formerly of Richwood, died Saturday evening, January 11, 2014 at The Ohio State University Medical Center.  He was born February 20, 1947 to the late Chester and Ruth (Edler) Skinner.

On September 24, 1974 he married the former Carol May Retterer in Grundy, Virginia and she died June 3, 2007.  He was also preceded in death by a brother, Paul "Tiny" Skinner and a special friend Deb Scott.

He enjoyed fishing with family and friends and deer hunting with his son.  Craig attended Richwood Church of Christ and was an active member of his Sunday School class and was passionate about his love for the Lord. He was an avid reader of outdoor magazines, news magazines, and most importantly, his Bible. He loved his friends and family and had a generous heart. He was a member of the Marysville Elks Lodge #1130 and participated in several charitable programs with them. He was especially proud of the work the Elks do for our veterans and was always willing to help with those events.

He is survived by a daughter: Stephanie (Jason) Stith, Marion and their children, Mark, Brandon, Emily, and Morgan; a son: Chris (Amanda) Skinner, Marysville and their children, Amber, Ellie, and Clayton.  He also loved his wife's four children: Jonda Jones, Wheelersburg, Randy (Lisa) Steele, Marion, Alane (Jeffrey) Clark, Richwood and Eddie Steele, Waldo and their families.

Funeral services will be Thursday, January 16, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the Richwood Church of Christ with Pastor Matthew Craig officiating.  Burial will follow in Prospect Cemetery.  Friends may call Wednesday January 15, 2014 form 5-7 pm at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home in Richwood, where there will be an Elk’s service following the calling hours at 7:00 pm

So sorry to hear this. Craig was the only person I ever knew with that name and I always liked it, so well as a matter of fact, that I gave it to my son as his middle name. A fine man, so glad to know he loved the Lord.
