 Cindy S. Sever, 51, of South Bend passed away suddenly at 11:02 AM Saturday, November 23 at Memorial Hospital. Cindy was born on June 20, 1962 in Canton to William T. Mabry and Grace M. (Edgington) Mabry. She has resided in the Michiana, Indiana area since 1991, coming from Richwood, Ohio.
On August 20, 1999 in Middlebury, IN., the former Cindy S. Mabry married Craig Sever, who survives. Cindy is also survived by her mother; Grace Mabry of Richwood, two daughters, Heidi L. (Jonathan) Tidd of Mishawaka, Indiana; and Emily M. Tidd of South Bend, Indiana; two sons, Dustin L. (Renee) Tidd of Mishawaka; and Joseph B. Tidd of South Bend; one sister, Ruth A. (Steven) Lewis of Raymond; and three grandchildren, Matthew, Gabrielle, and Natalie, whom she loved and cherished. She was preceded in death by her father, William T. Mabry. If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane. I’d walk right up to heaven and bring you home again. Cindy’s hobbies included reading, cooking, being with her grandchildren, and doing crafts. Visitation hours will be held Friday, November 29 from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Hanley and Sons “Southwest Chapel” Funeral Home located at 23421 State Road 23, South Bend, Indiana 46614. Funeral Services will take place Saturday, November 30 at 11:00 AM in the Hanley and Sons Funeral Home with Pastor Ervin Mize officiating. Burial is to follow at Sumption Prairie Cemetery. The family requests that all memorial contributions be made to the family to assist with medical bills. The HANLEY & Sons “Southwest Chapel” Funeral Home handled arrangements and services and extends its deepest sympathy and heartfelt prayers to the Sever family. Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home is not assisting the family with arrangements. Mrs. Sever's obituary is posted here as a courtesy to the family.
