I am so sorry for your loss. May it help you to know that God says at Isaiah 25:8 that he will swallow up death forever and that he will certainly wipe all tears from our faces. So soon we want worry about our loved one dying and causing us to shed painful tears. God will cause death to cease and never come back. I hope you and your family find some comfort from this, in your difficult days ahead and in your time of need.

Gene was always a special person in my life and he probably never knew it. He was my bus driver for most of my schools years and he was the BEST! It saddens my heart to hear of his passing but I'm sure he's driving a bus in Heaven and making a lot of children smile. Cause he certainly made me smile!

So many memories of Gene, but most of them involved my Daddy right along side him, lifelong friends. The love, the laughing the smiles we all had when we were all together!
To my sweet friend Regina, my prayers and thought of your daddy will stay with you always!
Love you all, judy

I remember Gene so well. The sparkle in his happy eyes and a big welcome smile. I road his school bus, in younger years. Gene was kind an teased me about being too short to get up the bus steps each day. He joked with me, that he would bring a little step stool or ladder to help me get onto the school bus. lol. Sure will miss him, but I know He walks with the Lord. Love you Ruth, Regina,Wayne an Bob, Donna, and families. Becky Rees :)

There are people in your life that make lasting impressions on you. One of those people that I love and will always remember with great fondness passed away last night. Gene Clady was a man I met when I was 10 years old. He was a member of my dad's first church in Ohio. His wife Ruth was my Sunday school teacher and the only Sunday school teacher that I remember. Gene was a dairy farmer. The first time I saw a calf born was on his farm. I remember it we'll because Gene had to help the cow deliver the calf. Gene liked to tease people and I loved to tease him back. Every Sunday after church I would tell him he could not catch me. He would hand his bible to Ruth and I would take off running as fast as I could. Gene would just jog along after me up the road. I would tire but he caught me every time. Ruth would drive to Gene and they would leave. The last time I saw gene he was using a walker. Ruth told me that he was falling down often. I remember that look he gave me the last time I saw him. It was the look he had given me when I was a kid and he was about to chase me down the road. It has been years since I saw gene and Ruth but I feel that I lost someone I had seen everyday. Gene was a farmer, husband, grandfather, teaser of people, ornery, chaser of kids but most importantly he was my friend. I sit here with tears running down my face because I realize how lucky I am to have known him. I know that Gene can walk and run now where he is. Hey Gene, bet you can't catch me.

Mrs. Clady, Wayne and Regina, and family...every time I drive up to Marion and pass the Clady place, I wonder how all of you are. Long time ago and lots of memories. I am so sorry for the loss your husband and father. He was a kind sweet man and I am praying for all of you as you walk this journey of loss. Hold on to the wonderful memories and celebrate how much he impacted those around him. Praying for all of you.

Dear Ruth and family, I was sorry to hear of Gene\'s home-going. I\'m sure you all have your memories of him and I thought I would share one quick story: I was driving along Smokey Road and noticed Gene\'s tractor stopped close to the road. I stopped om the road close to where he was. "Gene, are you ok?" He looked up and said, "yes, I was taking a quick nap so I could keep the rows straight" \r Keeping the rows straight sometimes requires us to do things out of the ordinary. I think about that When the "rows of life" get crooked. Doing things differently to keep the rows in line so we can honor Jesus.\r I look forward to the great reunion awaiting us when we gather together in heaven. Love to all from Joe and Mary Kirby

Regina/Wayne and families,
Dave and I wish to send our prayers your way. Although I didn't know Gene well, he and Ruth raised a nice daughter who I've had the pleasure to know. A memorial contribution was sent to the church in memory of your Dad. God Bless!
