I am truly sorry for your loss! Russ was a good friend and shipmate! We had a lot of good times onboard the Ike! No matter how rough it got or his personal life got, he always managed to have a smile on his face. I wish we could have kept in touch but I will miss him and he will always be remembered by everyone who knew him!

I did not know Russell, but for anyone to be willing to sacrifice their life for our country is a hero. From a fellow Navy Veteran... I pray Russell has Fair Winds and Following Seas. I pray for peace and understanding during this difficult time.

I would like to extend my condolences to the family of Russell Higgins. I had not worked with Russell very long but he came to be a good friend. He almost always had a smile on his face and talked of his children often. I miss our conversations. Everyday at the start of our shift Russell would tell me he needed screens for his maachine. He was a good friend and I miss his joking around and smiling face. May God bless you and hold you in his hands.
