George Kenneth Graham
George Kenneth GrahamFlagGeorge Kenneth Graham, age 86 of Prospect died early Saturday morning, October 27, 2012 at Carriage Court in Marysville.  He was born August 23, 1926 in Marion to the late Earnest Sterling and Mary Ellen (Bevis) Graham.

On September 22, 1951 he married the former Janet Marie James and she died March 26, 2008.  He was also preceded in death by a son, Robert James Graham and a brother, Howard Graham and a grandson, Kenneth James Graham, both in 2007.

He was a farmer most of his life.  He enjoyed gardening, fishing and his grandkids.  George was a big Ohio State football fan.  A graduate of Prospect High School, he served in the U. S. Army during World War II as an MP in the Philippines.  He liked fixing things and tinkering around.  George acted tough, but he was a softy inside, always being the first one to help anyone out.  He made people laugh at the nursing home and loved his hugs from the ladies.

He is survived by a daughter, Linda Marie (Richard Alan) Harper, Richwood; a grandson, Tyler Robert Graham, Mt. Victory; three granddaughters, Ashley Nicole Graham, Hilliard; Elizabeth Anne Graham, Hilliard; Sarah Marie Harper, Richwood; a great-grandson, Kayden James Graham; and two great-granddaughters, Kenzly and Paisley Graham.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home, Richwood with Rev. Stephen Waltman officiating.  Burial will follow in Price Cemetery where military honors will be conducted by Richwood Area Veterans.  Friends may call on Monday from 5 to 7 PM at the funeral home in Richwood.

Memorial gifts may be made to Heartland Hospice, 685 Delaware, Ave., Marion, Ohio 43302.
