John Jeffrey Tanner
John Jeffrey TannerMusicNotesJohn Jeffrey Tanner, age 26 died Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at home following a year-long battle with cancer.  He was born June 7, 1986 in Columbus to Lowell Jeffrey Tanner, Richwood and Doris Smale Barlow, Delaware.  

He was a member of Richwood First United Methodist Church and a 2004 graduate of North Union High School.  His hobbies included an extreme love of all things musical.  He enjoyed playing organ, piano, and harp, and he tried to master any instrument he picked up.  He enjoyed riding his horse named "Taco" in his spare time.

He was part of a very large family including three brothers and a sister, Mike Smale, Delaware; Melissa Pfleager, Marion; Eric (Hannah) Tanner, Cincinnati; Chris (Krystal Spires) Tanner, Richwood; four nieces, two nephews and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the Richwood First United Methodist Church with Pastor Joe Rhea officiating.  Burial will follow in Claibourne Cemetery.  Friends may call on Monday from 5 to 7 at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home, Richwood.

Memorial gifts may be made to Richwood First United Methodist Church, 18 South Fulton Street, Richwood, OH  43344.

I am very sad to hear this news about John. I remember his love for music when he was a student at NUHS and his friendly personality. My condolences to Chris, Eric and the entire family.  Keeping all of you in my prayers.

Doris..I am so sorry to hear of your Son's Passing. No one should have to bury their child. My Prayer are with you. My electric was down and I just found out on July 4th. My heart goes out to you...Mary
