To the family:

Jim was a pleasant & giving person and I am glad he isn't in pain anymore. Being a year younger than Jim I know I wouldn't want to spend my last months as he did. Our loss is heavens gain. God speed Jim.

Picture 1 - Jim with his bicycle and Uncle Bob just getting home from the Navy after WWII where he drove landcraft full of troops to the beaches of Iwo Jima.
Picture 2 - 1998 - Jim and Uncle Bob years later after eating many delicious meals Aunt Freda and Jean cooked for them.

There were several years of laughter shared and several stories told.

Great memories were the 4th of July, 1976 at Jim and Jean's farm - Kyle/Russell family Reunion.  It was cold day but we all enjoyed a great gathering of family, food and fun playing games and laughing. When all the Kyle/Russell family got together, there were always stories and laughter.

One of the funniest times remembered was when Jim brought his potato gun over to Aunt Freda's house to show Uncle Bob.  We all had a good time laughing and watching Jim shooting the potatoes across the street.

Another fun time was at Carla's wedding reception when Jim and Nancy and Dan and Pat were "twisting" to several oldie goldie songs.

Jim was a strong guy to have fought hard for so long after his accident.  But I know of several people that showed more strength and endurance and that was you Jean, Kim, Sherie, Nancy, Pat and other family members.  May God's blessings be with all of you and your families.

Love you all!
your "Texan" cousin

I did not get to talk to Jim much but really enjoyed talking to someone who knew so much about the history of baseball. When you mentioned Gomer Hodge or The managing abilities of Alvin Dark you knew he was aware of what you were talking about. His op[nion on baseball was highly regarded. My sympathy to the family and
for Jim GO TRIBE.

I do not believe I ever met Jim in person.  I did graduate with Nancy Kyle in 1967.  My condolences to the entire family.  May your family know that you are surrounded by love from our Father.
