I walked outside early today before dawn, with the sky still dark and filled with stars. I thought about Katy and sent my wishes to her. I asked God to show her the beauty of his world and to bring comfort to you during this time of great loss. I am so thankful for the time spent with Katy - and you, Marvin - on my visits home, and that my kids had a chance to know her.

All my thoughts and prayers are with you.

Kathy.

To Katy's Family:

I was very surprised to hear about Katy. We had lost touch with each other the past few years. You have our deepest sympathy.

Katy & I worked for many years together as "School Cooks" & had a lot of good times. We became very close friends during those years.

All of you will be in our prayers & she will always be in our memories. Love to you all,

Mark & Candy

Although I've only had the pleasure of meeting "Nanny" a few times, I know that she's an amazing woman to have raised Melissa (the person I trust my own children to).  I know that Kya speaks fondly of Nanny and always enjoyed Skyping her and PaPa.  Tonight as we walked by the beach, Kya said, "I saw Nanny and Papa here!" remembering their visit to Michigan last weekend.  Nanny clearly touched many people - and it seems that kids loved her and received unconditional love in return.

Melissa and family, along with PaPa, are in our prayers.

Love,
Kevin, Kari, Kya, and Kane Butcher
