Neal Odell Hughes
Neal Odell HughesNeal Odell Hughes, age 88, formerly of the Mt. Victory area, died Tuesday January 3, 2012 at 4:00 AM at the home of his son. He was born March 25, 1923 in Springfield Twp, Gallia County, Ohio to the late C. Roy and Opal (George) Hughes. On February 18, 1945  he married Alice Hinton and she died April 1, 2007.

Surviving is one son; Jeffery L. (Loretta) Hughes of Morral, grandson Brian A. Hughes, brothers; Leo Hughes of Nelsonville, Don Hughes of Tenn, and Sheridan Hughes of Claridon.  Brother Darrell and Sister Georgia Schaber are deceased.

Mr. Hughes was a farmer and also a press operator at Whirlpool. Veteran of WWII serving in the U S Army.  

There will be no calling hours and  services will be held at a later date. The Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home in LaRue is helping the family with arrangements.

What a wonderful man of God. The impact Neal had upon our Church family will last for all eternity. A true gentlemen in every sense of the word. He was truly loved by all of us, and will be truly missed.
