I moved out before he passed but i was his neighbor as a kid. I moved around 2009 or so. Ron didnt talk much but his sister jeanene, socialized. She told me to ask ron but i never did. All she said was that he was a tank commander and got hit with some shrapnel from possibly a tank rnd. She didnt know she said a shotgun but not possible. Anyways he was hit in the face and ear and went color blind in his left eye i think. Not sure but i do wish i would have talked to him.
