Dixie was a very good friend to John and I.  We will miss her very much.  Our thoughts and prayers are with Chris and his family in their loss.  Dixie and I had many good times together at John Deere.  She never complained of her illness and was alway up beat.  I hope she is resting in peace.  May God be with her.

Dixie was always fun to be around with her wit and understanding of what customers really wanted - answers and friendship.  Dixie always makes me smile and I will remember that forever.

I first met Dixie when she and Lucille came to the Quad Cities to start her new job with the AG Contact Center at Deere & Company.  We hit if off immediately and became really close friends, my heart aches for all of you at this time.  Dixie was one special lady that really taught people how to live and how to overcome whatever life threw at her.  We would get together each and every time that Illinois played Ohio State, she in her Buckeye attire and me in my Illini attire.  We did this no matter where she was, even in the hospital, the staff really got quite a kick out of our fussing back and forth.  A piece of my heart is gone now, but I know someday I will see my friend once more.  God Bless you all.

I will always remember Dixie..a great person who never complained, although if she had no one would have blamed her.  She worked harder (in so many ways), than anyone I know. She was a strong woman with a strong spirit, and she left everyone she touched a better person for having known her and her strength. I consider myself very blessed to have had the privilege of knowing Dixie.

Dix and I exchanged emails last month and she sounded as upbeat as ever...calling me "Big Guy" as she had for years. I have a medical procedure scheduled to begin at 1:00 PM Tuesday, or my wife and I would attend the funeral. Dixie will be on my mind and in my heart Tuesday and always! She was a very special person. God's Blessings, and our Best Wishes to her family.

Everyone in my Physical Therapy department and the Rehabilitation department at Genesis Medical Center will always have fond memories of Dixie and her Buckeye Spirit....especially on the weekend they play the Hawkeyes! That same spirit helped her many times as she worked so hard for us in her therapy sessions. She will be greatly missed, but she provided us with many funny and special moments that will be remembered by all of us.

Our lives were enriched having known Dixie and Lucille.  They were always so positive and humble, truely spirit-filled.  When we would go to visit them, they ended up brightening our day.
They are missed.

My wife Brenda and I are very saddened to hear of Dixie's passing.  I worked with Dixie at John Deere for 2 years in Lenexa, KS.  She was one of the nicest people I ever met, and helped to make the Aftermarket Department the best department I worked in during 35 years with John Deere.  Dixie will be greatly missed.

Dixie was a wonderful neighbor to me when she lived at the Retreat on Eastern ave. I marveled at her and how nothing seemed to stop her from s doing what she wanted to do. My oldest son looked away from her huge buckeye door mat whenever he came over. As he feels the same way but only about the hawkeyes. We had some good adventures together and she will always be in my prayers. Sandi

Although I have been retired for a number of years, we still kept in touch and she was always a wonderful friend.  We will miss Dixie and we extend our deepest sympathy to her family.

Dixie was a wonderful neighbor here at the condos. Despite her physical limitations, she always had a smile and a kind word for everyone. She loved the Lord and enjoyed hearing his music. I know she will be greatly missed by the many friends and loved ones she cherished.

My deepest sympathy to the Ledley family and friends. I have known Dixie "Doo" and Lucille "Ma" for about 25 years. We worked together at LabCorp in Dublin, OH. She worked there part time when she was at John Deere in Columbus. We used to have parties and picnics for a couple nursing homes that our group "Project Care" adopted.  Dixie and her Mom were always there helping and making the patients smile. They loved the elderly people and the patients loved them.  Will always have very fond memories of those times helping others with "Doo" and "Ma". My heart goes out to all of you at this time and you are in my prayers for comfort.

Dear Gary and Lynne,  I have fond memories of Dixie and our high school days together.  She was a great friend to many.  I'm sorry for her loss, but it's great to know she is out of pain after many years of suffering.  I wouldn't be surprised if she didn't have a basketball or volleyball game going on right now!  My prayers and thoughts are with you.  With kindest regards, Tonya
