Our families were friends, and though over time the relationship was less close, it dosn't change the fact that we share many happy memories.  Your mom and I shared many experiences--like having our kids during the same period of years.  And before that we shared the Great Advgenture of living and working in Chicago, eating supper together-cooking them on her 2-burner gas stove in her and your Dad's basement apartment.

Both of us shared our tears when we each buried a son, but we learned life goes on and so did we.

She was a good mother to you kids and I know you'll miss her, just as I will miss her like a sister.

Phyllis, and "Ping", too.

My thoughts and prayers are with you during  this difficult time.  I lived beside Glenna at the "Richwood Arms" for almost 14 years and I am very honest when I say she was the best neighbor I have ever had. We chatted almost everyday whether we were just coming and going or having a cup of coffee together and she never once complained when my son would bang very loudly on his drum set when he was younger :) and we just watched out for each other like neighbors do, but I considered her more than just a neighbor. She had a huge heart and she loved her family so much and spoke highly of them! Glenna and I both had  been gone from the apartments for quite awhile now but I have always thought of her from time to time. I was blessed to know her and 14 years is a long time to be neighbors with someone, she holds a special place in my heart. God Bless~
