Clifford Lynn Davis
Clifford Lynn DavisNASCARClifford Lynn Davis, age 70 of Byhalia died unexpectedly Thursday, January 13, 2011 at his home.  He was born September 28, 1940 in Columbus to the late William D. and Marian (Haughn) Davis.  He was first married to Cora Lee (Ray) Davis who preceded him in death.  He was then married to Nancy Carol (Wells) Davis and she survives in Delaware.

He was a mechanic and worked in construction.  Clifford was a fan of bluegrass music and racing.  He enjoyed spending time at Shady Bowl Raceway in DeGraff and Columbus Motor Speedway.  He enjoyed watching tractor pulls at local fairs.  A big NASCAR fan, he enjoyed watching both Earnhardts.

He is survived by three sons, Jeff (Angela) Davis, Marion; John Davis, Columbus; Ken Davis, Tennessee; three daughters, Donnetta Davis, Urbana; Missy (Ron) Roar, Delaware; Shannon Perkins, Bellefontaine; two brothers, Harold Davis, Marion; Lowell (Ginny) Davis, Richwood; a sister, Midge (Lowell) Cumston, Delaware; eleven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and his girlfriend, Betty Lou Dailey, Bellefontaine.

He was preceded in death by a son, Tracey Lynn Davis; three brothers, Raymond, Richard and William Davis; and four sisters, Shirley Criswell; Marilyn Everett; Louise Kazee; and Donna Howe.

Funeral services will be held Monday, January 17, 2011 at 1:00 PM in the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home, Richwood where friends may call two hours prior to the service, beginning at 11:00 AM.  Pastor Randy Davis will officiate and burial will be in Claibourne Cemetery.

Memorial gifts may be given to a charity of the donor’s choice.

Missy, Nancy and Family,
Im SO sorry to here about Cliff's passing, he was a good man and Ill always remember him from the times he took care of me and watch after me after my dad died.Missy I feel your pain, I know first hand what it feels like losing a father but just remember all the good times you had with him and keep him in your heart and just know hes in heaven with God helping him to watch over you, hes your angel now.My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
