Kimberly Ann (Oehler) Hoffman
Kimberly Ann (Oehler) HoffmanFlagLITCHFIELD PARK, AZ: Kimberly Ann (Oehler) Hoffman, 48, of Litchfield Park, Arizona, passed away on Saturday, January 1, 2011 after a brief battle with an aggressive form of cancer.

Kimberly was born in Marion, Ohio on April 8, 1962 to the late Carl Oehler and Pauline (Daugherty) Oehler. Her mother survives in Sun City West, Arizona.

Kimberly was a 1980 graduate of Elgin High School. She attended the Ohio State University and the Mansfield School of Nursing prior to joining the Air Force Reserves in 1983. She relocated to Arizona in 1985 where she met the love of her life, David Hoffman, to whom she had been married since May of 1986. After her marriage, she became the director of Medical Records at Arrowhead Hospital in Glendale, AZ. In 1998, she started her own medical claims and scheduling business, which she ran until her death. In 2000, Kim gave birth to her "greatest love", Ian David Hoffman.

Besides her mother; husband; and son; she is survived by her sister, Cheryl Oehler of Sun City, AZ; her brother, Russell Oehler and his family of Tigard, Oregon; maternal uncles and aunts, Tom and Peggy Knickel, Sun City West, AZ, Carolyn Daugherty and Robert Mathiasen of Sedona, Arizona; paternal uncle and aunt, Cecil and Vera Oehler of Prospect, Ohio; father and mother-in-law, Ralph and Doris Hoffman of Merlin, Oregon; she is also survived by many loving cousins.

Kim was creamated after a brief visitation from her immediate family at the Sunland Mortuary on Monday, January 3, 2011.

Kim was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, sister and niece. She will be sorely missed by those whose lives she touched day in and day out.

Kim was an animal lover and over her 48 years, rescued many dogs and cats.

She was a caring, giving woman who always "adopted" a family less fortunate than her at Christmas. This giving spirit has been passed on to her son, Ian He feels that God needed a "lead" angel to organize and help the other angels so that is why his mom is gone. We should all feel that kind of love and understanding, shouldn't we?

Memorial contributions in Kimberly's name, may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Prospect, Ohio.

It will be seven years tomorrow. How can I ever forget the day you went away. Part of my heart went with you. Each day I recall the little girl that was such a spirited ambitious child. You are forever missed. I love you.

These eight years have been a lonely eight years. I long to hear you laugh and sing Christmas songs. Ian has grown so tall and is a wonderful young man. He is in college now and is excellent on trumpet and intends to pursue music. You would be proud of the man he has become and in your footsteps he rescued a lost dog who he named Donny in honor of your love for the music of Donny Osmond when you were young. The things you instilled in him remains a constant in his life. His dad has been a good father and you are always with all of us no matter how many years go by.

It will soon be ten years. I have thought of you each day since you went away. Your loving Uncle Tom joined you in May. I know you are giving both Peggy and Tom a big hug everyday. I miss you and will always cherish the time you were mine.

Ten years ago I had to let you go. Each New Years Day is so painful for me. I relive the moments of that day so often and they are as fresh in my heart as that day. Only death will heal my heart and with the hopes that I may see you and hold you again, will the pain be eased. I love you.

You 59th birthday was yesterday...I spent the day thinking of you and missing you every moment of every day. Ian called last night and we talked about you. He is a fine young man and so grown up for a 20 year old. You can be very proud of the 10 years you spent instilling in him the right things about life. He is studying music in college but also management as well. He does the sound for a music company on the weekends and is the brass director of two high school bands. He is getting to be well known in the music scene. Be proud, you did a fine job. I love you with all my heart.

Another Christmas without you. Ian came yesterday and we talked about you and how you made Christmas so special. How you always adopted a family and bought their whole Christmas for them because it taught him the spirit of giving of himself. You would be so proud of him. He carries on your teachings and way to be the grounded person he is even at 21. We miss you so.

It has been 12 years and it as fresh in my heart as if it were yesterday. I miss you so much. I'm now 88 and I wish you were here to help me through the years of old age. Ian is fine. He is doing well in his music career. It's his love so I guess he is where he wants to be. He spent Christmas Day with me and I loved it. I wish to see you every day. I love you.
