I am so saddened to learn of the passing of Dave. We met on the school bus in middle school and he would always make me smile whenever I saw him. Praying for all of you at this time. God Bless~ Jody

Please know that you all are in my thoughts and prayers. Its been several years since I have gotten to visit with Dave & Penny. As I travel ed back to Richwood last month I passed his house on Rt.4 and thought of Dave and the fun times we had in school. God bless you all!!!!!

It's often difficult to know what to say in times like these, so I will start with how deeply sorry we are for the loss of Dave. He was quite the character! He always made me laugh when we talked despite the challenges he was facing. He was very kind hearted, even going so far as to help me out with fertilizer for our garden. It's those small acts of kindness that make this world a better place and he will be missed.

My sincere sympathy to the family of David Thomas. I remember that many of you were in my classes in the sixth, seventh and/or eighth grades at North Union. Penny, I remember you were in a sixth grade class at Claibourne.

Uncle Dave would come and get his great nephews and nieces and take them to Delaware beach and out to eat. He always had a beaming smile, a thunderous voice, and treated them as though they were his own grandkids. His love for them was evident and they loved him just as much. He was always bringing some new present over like an arrowhead from his own collection or his favorite: anything military motif, which the boys LOVED. He will be greatly missed by us all and I'm so glad that my children were so fortunate to have gotten to have so many memorable experiences with him. He was such a genuine person.

So very sad to hear of Dave's passing. We went from 1st to 12th grade toegther and I am so very sorry to hear this. I never go past his house on Route 4 without thinking of him and the fun School Bus rides together. God Bless and rest in peace.
